Awesome Hanoi Hostel & Travel

Alice was the best part of our stay! She checked us in, helped us book an amazing 4 day Ha Giang easy rider tour and a Lan ha bay cruise. She was always super friendly, responsive and helpful!!! Beds were comfy, showers were hot and free breakfast was delicious with multiple choices.

Very central location in the Old Quarters. The staff were all very pleasant, nice and helpful. Alice, in particular, helped me plan a trip to SaPa and Ha Giang and was able to adjust when I came down with the flu. I'm very appreciative of this.

Shower was broken, everything is dirty, stuff that met me when I arrived was not friendly at all, during the night AC got broken and they didn’t do anything. Blanket is stinky

It was central, walking distance to the most dynamic, lively street. The staffs were so helpful. Breakfast was nice.

Good location if you want to be right in the beer street action and close to the other Old Quarter attractions. Easy check-in and check-out process and lockers built into the cubby of each bed. Separate common area beside the dorm room was convenient for stashing a large bag or repacking your stuff.

Both outer and inner doors to the mixed dorm weren't secure (didn't completely close and lock), which only bothered me because of the amount of noise allowed in.

Nice and quiet hostel in a good location. Beds are comfortable and staff is very friendly. Nice rooftop.

Great place all around! Kind and helpful staff, comfortable and private beds, each with locker, fan, light and electricity plug, and clean toilets and showers, in a very convenient area of the Old Quarter within walking distance from important bus stops and landmarks.I recommend it and would stay again!

I only wish the staff didn't have to enter the rooms to clean so early in the morning, at that time some people may still be catching up to much-needed sleep.

Great place to stay, beds are built it so nice and sturdy and very comfortable, good storage. Breakfast was good as well

Not a social hostel if that is what you are looking for. We just needed a place to stay for the night and for that purposes it was perfect.

Would recommend staying at the Awesome Hostel in Hanoi as lives up to its name and is well and truly Awesome! Staff (especially Ms. Helen and Anh) were super helpful and really welcoming and friendly during my time there (and also when I had left!). Helped me book and organise tours and transport to get to other areas of the country. Also had many recommendations and advise where to go and which tours to prioritise if you really need to and are short on time. I booked the ha giang loop tour via them which was absolutely amazing, also booked a tour to lan ha bay (over ha long bay - as they recommended - and did not regret it ?). The location for getting around and exploring the city is super ideal and room and shared spaces were cleaned daily. Ended up extending my time here a few times and was an easy process ☺️?Many options for their breakfast too if you pick that option and the food they serve in the restaurant was really good ?

Nothing - was great. Even though it is located in a lively area of the city in the hostel itself was really chill and relaxed vibes.

Alice is a super host. The went above and beyond to me sure I was comfortable. She also booked tours for me which made it so easy.The remaing staff members are also very nice

She shower was broken and the whole bathroom would get all wet while taking a shower. The shower head was broken.Air conditioning only working from 6pm with means the rooms are really hot during the day

Hostel and restaurant at old quarter, close to everything, walking distance to beer street and other major attractions.

Clean hostel, comfortable beds with sockets and place to put your staff next to you. Lockers big enough to store a big backpack or suitcase.

The Staff were great good location the room was just as advertised it was quiet I stayed in the private room

The 4 person dorm was comfortable, though it felt like people were coming in and out all through the night. The rooftop area was really nice. The location was convenient for getting buses elsewhere.A big downside for me was the lack of drinking water - there wasn't even anywhere to buy bottled water in the hostel, you have to go to a convenience store nearby. The staff were friendly but may pressure you a little to book tours through them.For my fellow vegos - the free breakfast had vegetarian but not vegan options (eggs on toast), though maybe I could've requested something. (Plenty of better vegetarian and vegan options within walking distance though.)
